Adam’s Apple by Liv Morris Book review
About the Book
Adams Apple
Touch of Tantra #1
By: Liv Morris
Adam Kingsley reigns as the young prince of Manhattan. Everything he touches turns to gold, making him the envy of Wall Street. Women swoon at his feet, money falls out of his pockets, and his killer good looks are as wicked as sin. A dangerous trifecta.
What more could a thirty-two-year-old man wish for? Maybe that his life never changes and his past stays far away? Sounds reasonable, but life seldom is.
Kathryn Delcour is a beautiful and alluring socialite with unique erotic tastes. When she suddenly appears on the New York City social scene, Adam finds her too tempting to resist. He has to have her, but she is warned to stay away from him and his player ways. She tries her hardest to keep him at arm’s length, but Kathryn’s arms may not be strong enough to hold Adam at bay.
Hidden secrets, Kathryn’s passion for an ancient sexual practice, and a former business partner wanting to inflict a deadly revenge set the scene for a wild ride as Adam tells the story in his own words.

“My breath hitches as I feel her fingers undoing the ties of my pants. Loosening them until they’re free and hanging open. She places her hands on the area above my boxers and gives me a devilish look. One which promises to undo me. I keep eye contact with her, though; I’ve learned to follow rules tonight.”
My Review
My Rating: 3.5 Stars
“So far the beast in me remains wild and undomesticated. However, I don’t remember a woman inducing such a raw desire in me like Kathryn Delcour.”
Adam’s Apple offers a little something different than the more typical billionaire romances. This is not a story of a young, innocent ingenue being swept off her feet by the sexually brilliant but emotionally flawed businessman. Adam is a wealthy man with no shortage of young, beautiful women to take care of his sexual needs. Enter Kathryn: stunning, clever, and with her own wealth and sexual prowess, she is Adam’s equal, if not his superior in many ways. She’s a strong, confident character, and they are a great match.
There are so many aspects of this book that worked for me. I loved Kathryn and her clever remarks, her confident sexiness. I enjoyed the engaging storyline, the original plot, and the chemistry between the main characters. I was excited to read a book from the male character’s point-of-view and the author does a good job creating an interesting, multi-layered character, but I didn’t love Adam. Something about Adam’s voice just read a little off for me. It didn’t sound natural or flow as well as I would have liked. It did interfere with my ability to really connect with his character.
As a whole, this is a completely enjoyable story, with a great combination of romance and suspense, an interesting tantric twist, and a fantastically refreshing female lead.
” ‘The truth is all the money you possess can’t make you a man.’ “
