DEADLOCKED by Charlaine Harris pdf Download

DEADLOCKED by Charlaine Harris Book review

In spite of a lack of action, I was just happy to read about these characters again. Sookie, Bill, Eric, Sam and all of the others have become like old friends. I’m always pleased to be able to visit with them and catch up on what’s going on.

Deadlocked managed to include so many of the important characters from earlier books. We even got a brief visit from Quinn, one of my favorites. However, I didn’t love this book as much as I loved the books at the beginning of this series. It lacked action, moved slowly and the storyline meandered all over the place. I suppose there issues from the past that needed loose ends tied up in preparation for the series’ final book. Harris did succeed in solving many of these issues and setting up a conflict for the final book. Who will Sookie end up with?

As always, I enjoyed the backdrop that Harris provides for her stories. I can never get enough of hot, sticky, southern Bon Temps and it’s group of non-supe townsfolk. I was thrilled for Tara and JB and I hope Jason finally gets to settle down.

I gave this book 3 stars. It lacked action but let me connect with some of my favorite characters. As usual, Sookie was the bright spot. I’ve enjoyed growing with her and seeing her become more confidant and introspective, if sometimes a little sad. She’s seen been part of so many unimaginable and frightening events but manages to somehow maintain a mostly upbeat, can-do attitude. I am looking forward to read the final book in this series, and will be sad to see t end.

With this series, Amish shifts from mythological fiction to historical fiction , aiming to bring alive the forgotten heroes of India’s past—warriors who fought against invaders and preserved Indian culture. The Historical Setting The novel is set in the early 11th century during the reign of Emperor Rajendra Chola I , son of the legendary Raja Raja Chola .
