The Ayodhya Alliance by Ashwin Sanghi Book Summary
The Ayodhya Alliance. So the story is not limited to India only. This time Ashwin Sangi has taken this story to other countries. This story travels in many continents and travels in their history as well as present time. Apart from India, it also travels in Thailand, Rome and many other countries, that is, Korea 2000 years ago and currently South Korea. So this story travels in all these countries and in different timelines.
It goes 2000 years back. Before that, this story also goes 7000 years back in the time of Ramayana. So the story is about this ancient secret ah which is called Dalingam. Now I am not going to share with you what you know the secret is all about. Like what is that what is the lingam?
Because this is a spoiler free review. So davit lingam is an ancient secret that was shared by Raavan to Lakshman you know when he was on his death bed Raavan one you know he was on his death bed he had shared this secret with Lakshman and he made Lakshman the first protector of this secret and you know the protectors are called davit lingam rakshaks so since Ramayana many generations have been protecting this secret and 2000 000 years ago this secret was given to Padmasena to protect it.
So because this secret is ancient. You know if it goes into the wrong hands then it is not just a threat to some countries or continents. It is a threat to the whole human civilization. So that is why someone is protecting this secret even in the current time.
Now this in the current time the story moves in Indo-Inda border where India is facing a major crisis because of the war tanks that they have deployed in the border areas. A some Chinese missiles attack on them and ah you know even the strongest of war tanks could not sustain that fatal attack.
So now Indian defense ministry decides that they need to make new war tanks with some kind of material that is so tough that you know that can actually face these latest weapons by China. And the responsibility of making this is given to a company whose owner is Aditya Pillai.
He owns a steel industry and he is quite you know a different personality. And Aditya Pillai chooses one of the partners from South Korea for this project who is also the pioneer in steel industry in South Korea.
And the CEO of that company is Somi that and she is you know very-very friendly with Aditya because they have a you know they did study together when they were you know doing their engineering. So to make this war tanks they need some kind of highly advanced a you know metal ah that can be used for these you know tanks.
But it is when Aditya and Somi when they are working on this particular project they start discovering some kind of an ancient technology that was developed in India that had roots in India but obviously was spread through out the continent and through some you know to other countries also it had connections in South Korea it had connections in Thailand and Rome and many other countries.
So this kind of technology was kept secret for so long as I said 2000 years ago a man name Padmasen was the Vithalingam protector and he was also kidnapped and tortured by the king then to get this secret out of him but obviously he did not reveal it. So even in today's time it is not an easy task to solve this mystery.
And Aditya and Somi, with the help of many scientists and the Indian Defense Ministry, are about to get close to this secret after crossing many difficulties when Ghaznwar enters their life. Ghaznwar lives in Afghanistan and he calls himself a descendant of Mahmud Ghazani and he says that he has a right on this secret and that is why he also makes a deadly attack on Aditya and Somi.
The book is filled with a lot of mysterious symbols and secrets and you know it is able to establish a lot of beautiful connections between Indian history and a history of the rest of the world? What is the Vitlingam? Where is it hidden? What is so special about it that almost the entire world is after that secret?
Will Aditya and Somi be able to get their hands on the secret and really protect their countries? For all the questions you need to read the book The Ayodhya Alliance by Ashwin Sanghi. So to understand this book, let me tell you beforehand that you need a little more patience.
You need a little more focus. Because this is very different from other books by Ashwin Sangi. You know because it involves a lot of countries and lots of continents, their present times, their history, from the stories of their kings and Maharajas to what is happening in that country today, so in the beginning, everything will seem very scattered to you.
But once you dive deep into this ocean, it will reveal all its secrets to you and you will love this process. I love the story line, it is gripping. I love the way Ashwin Sangi writes and I have always said this at in this book particularly he has actually very smartly established a beautiful connection astonishing connection actually between Indian history Indian civilization and you know ah history of many other countries that how they are connected and it almost ah sounds really believable to you.
Ah so that is obviously that there is a reason he is called a master story teller. But my only complaint with this book is obviously that because it involves so many timelines, so many countries, so many continents so many characters.
So there is you know that one particular character that stays with you throughout the book and even when you and it stage it in your mind, that character is missing for sure. Ah and also, ah the end also is not that great. I mean I did not like the twist in the end of the story as much as I like in other books by Ashwin Sangi.
But as they say sometimes you know the journey is more beautiful than the destination and in this case it is totally totally true because the process of reading this book ah you know the twists and turns they just keep you hooked. So as always I am going to read my favorite lines from this book which is about what is true happiness.
Happiness is found not in pursuing desires but in mastering them. A man who quenches his thirst with salt water will only find himself thirsting for more. Desires are like that. An endless cycle of craving. So if you want to feel the magic of story telling an intelligent style of writing then obviously
The Ayodhya Alliance by Ashwin Sanghi is a must read for you and I hope you like this book and its review both, if you like it then please share it with all the book lovers you know especially people who love reading historical fiction.
