Lallan Sweet by Srishti Choudhury Book Summary

When I started reading, I was very confused as to what was happening. I mean this should have happened, but it is not happening. This is happening. Why?

Lallan Sweets by Srishti Chaudhary. So first let's know the summary of this book and then we will talk about this book. And yes, I want to talk a lot about this book.

Taraneja has many dreams about Lallan Sweet—that she will make Lallan Sweet a big restaurant. She will have many franchises. She wanted to make Lallan Sweet a brand. But her dream could not be fulfilled.

Because that shop belonged to Tara as much as it belonged to her cousin brothers Rohit and Mohit. So her uncle, that is Rohit and Mohit's father, wanted that Lallan Sweets be given to his sons, and Tara be married. But Tara did not want all this. Tara did not want to get married because she has some dreams and she is very passionate.

She wanted to do something big. She is a businesswoman. Tara's uncle takes this matter to her father, that is, he goes to Tara's grandfather Lala ji. Lala ji listens to everything but he says that Lallan Sweets will not be available to anyone just like that.

Lallan Sweets will have to be acquired. And to acquire it, some magic ingredient is given in the laddus that they make. So both of them, Rohit, Mohit, and Tara, will have to find that ingredient first, and only then will they get that shop. That means the one who finds that ingredient will get that shop.

For that, Lala ji was going to give a task to some people which they could fulfill and only after that they could take over the shop. So everyone was ready and one day a boy comes to their neighborhood—Niku, i.e., Nikhil Sawarwal. Nikhil was actually Tara's best friend. He was with her since childhood and he had gone out of that city to study. He is an engineer—a computer engineer. If Niku gets bored of work, then he does not do that work again. He leaves it.

So he used to do a job there and leaving everything he comes to their city. And then they did all the things they used to do in their childhood, like going to drink sugarcane juice. Then they used to go to Tara's shop to eat sweets, so they went there too. When Tara used to work at the shop, Nikku used to sit there.

Tara told everything to Nikku—that what conditions her Lala ji had given her to get that shop. Nikku says, "I am also here, I am also free and this is an adventure, I will also come with you." So Tara gets a company.

He goes and tells Lala ji that Nikku is also coming with him. So Lala ji agrees. Then Nikku and Tara go for the adventure—meaning they go to complete the task. First they go to Mathura. From there they go to Taj Mahal. From there to Bareilly. Then they go to Delhi. One by one they complete the task and go to the next clue.

In Delhi, the task was that Tara had to work at a sweet shop. Lala ji wanted this. He told her that if you survive in Delhi, then you can survive anywhere. So Tara works at a sweet shop, recommended by Lala ji. Rohit and Mohit also complete the task and they also work at a sweet shop in Delhi.

Then there is a lot of talk between Nikku and Tara. They know more about each other—that both of them had a crush on each other since childhood. Tara was very happy to hear this. Tara confesses to him that she likes him. Nikku also says he likes Tara. So a very good relationship develops between them

While working at the sweet shop, Tara used to call its owner as Bauji. Bauji and Lala ji were very good friends. They were going to start a business together, but due to some problems, there was a rift between them. So Bauji had gone to Delhi and was doing his business there. Lala ji was in Siyaka. Tara again makes them friends—between Lala ji and Bauji.

Then they complete the task. But Niku and Tara fight. Actually, Niku was looking around. Whenever he used to talk to or even look at any other girl, Tara used to get very jealous, which was very obvious. Tara tells him all these things, and during conversation, Tara comes to know that Nikku wanted to go out of the country, but Tara did not want to go because she had to stay there—it was her business.

So on this matter both of them fight. Tara leaves Nikku and goes to Pune alone for the next task. She completes the task and then goes for the next one. After many weeks, Tara was staying in the house of one of their old neighbours. Nikku comes there. Tara gets shocked to see him and wonders how he came there.

Nikku tells her that he went home and then talked to Lala ji. After that, he came there after taking all the information. Nikku tells Tara that he wants to stay with her. He wants to go out but wants to stay with her. So after a lot of talks, they patch up and start doing the task together.

After completing the task, they come back to Siyaka. As soon as they come to Siyaka, Tara comes to know about the magic ingredients. Rohit and Mohit also come to know. They all make laddus with the magic ingredients. So they complete the task equally. Then Lala ji divides the shop equally between both—Rohit, Mohit, and Tara.

Rohit and Mohit do business together, and they start treating each other very well. This story ends here.

Now let's come to the review of how this book was. So when I was starting this book, I was very confused. I mean this should have happened, but it's not happening. Then after reading a few pages, I came to know that this is a 90s story—when there was no internet, no phone, when everything used to happen manually.

This book is a total full package. Because this book has comedy, drama, friendship, love, family values—each and everything.

This book is very exciting. And there is not a single character in this book that is boring or annoying. Everything is too good, so perfect. Actually, I love female characters who are strong. So in this book also, the female character is very strong, independent, educated, firecracker and passionate. She can handle everything at a time. She is also a businesswoman. I liked it a lot.

The character of Nikku is also very good, supportive, very nice. And another thing which makes this book more interesting is that it gives a Bollywood vibe. It has a little bit of Jab We Met vibe and some other movies too.

One thing that I liked the most is the handwritten letters. There used to be conversations in the letters. I liked it a lot. It is a simple small-town romance. There is not much spice in it. It is very sober but very interesting. It is very good. A must read. You will like it.

Actually, you people should read this book at least once because it is really very good. I love this book. You people will complete it in one go. One more thing—this book has about 250 pages and every chapter is very short, which readers like very much. So overall this book is too good. I love this book and I am sure you will love it too. So try it.
